HYDROTHERAPY

Heat, buoyancy and water combine to treat a variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, to facilitate the restoration of normal movement, reduce pain and increase physical capacity.

Our Pool

Perfectly balanced, all year

Our hydrotherapy pool is purpose built for rehabilitation and supported therapeutic exercise. Using state-of-the-art heating, the temperature is maintained between 33 and 35 degrees celsius year round. With ramp and hoist access, it's perfect for people of all ages and abilities.

Musculoskeletal Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is an underrated form of rehabilitation and recovery for a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions. The warmth and buoyancy of the water can help reduce pain, relax muscles that are in spasm, and reduce the load on joints.

As recovery progresses, floats, paddles and weights can all be used to modify the resistance to movement.  Using knowledge of fluid dynamics, hydrotherapy programs can be used to reduce and manage pain and achieve high level functional recovery.
